Akhmad Hanan

Researcher at Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center

Akhmad Hanan is a researcher at Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). He graduated from Diponegoro University with a bachelor’s degree in oceanography (UNDIP). In addition, he has a master’s degree in energy security from Indonesia Defense University (IDU), which he attended on a ministry of defense scholarship. He has been involved in various energy and defense research projects such as The Impact of Maritime Infrastructure on National Security: A Case Study in the Natuna Sea Region, Solar Home System (SHS) Pilot Project at Marine Command Headquarters 3 Sorong West Papua, and the Impact of Foreign Direct Investment in Low-Carbon Development. He has written numerous articles, opinions, and research papers on energy and defense issues, including Porter’s Five Forces Analysis of Electric Vehicles in Indonesia, South China Sea geopolitics, and Indonesia National Security Issue. He enjoys football, fishing, and trading in his spare time.
