Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), in cooperation with Integrated Petroleum Festival (IPFEST) 2019, held the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center Business Case Competition on Friday, 15 February 2019. The Business Case Competition was one of the competitions held during IPFEST 2019 by the students of Petroleum Engineering Program from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and eight teams from various universities in Indonesia participated in this competition.
The participating teams were given details about three oil-and-gas fields and were tasked to make recommendations for the judges on which block to be developed. The participating teams were given three hours to come up with recommendations and ten minutes to present the result. After each presentation, the judges were given a chance to question and challenge the team’s presentation.
All the participating team gave exciting and insightful recommendations on the case. Each team presented different approach to the case which really excited the judges. Lastly, PYC would like to congratulate Ozzma Kappa from Universitas Indonesia as the 2nd Runner Up, PetroGvrl from ITB as the 1st Runner Up and Haverfords from Institut Teknologi Surabaya as the winner of PYC Business Case Competition. PYC wished the best of luck for all the participants’ future endeavors.
