Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) had a chance to attend the Cloud OnBoard event by Google on 23 April 2019, at Pullman Jakarta Central Park Hotel. Google Cloud OnBoard returned to Jakarta with a new interactive format and expanded training method. The event carried the theme of Big Data and Machine Learning which will be presented in several modules.
The event was opened by a welcome speech from the Account Manager of Google Cloud Indonesia, Mr. Benaga Virgantara. He sent his warmest greetings to all speakers and participants. He hoped that the event could benefit all participants with new knowledge and experience in the appointed theme. The following welcome speech was presented by the Enterprise Sales Lead of Google Cloud, Mr. Sugianto Rahardja, who greeted all participants and conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Google Cloud Indonesia that had held the Google Cloud OnBoard Seminar Jakarta 2019. He said that there would be 55 more cities in the world that will be visited by Google Cloud OnBoard in 2019, including Indonesia. Indonesia will have the opportunity to launch the Google Cloud platform in 2020. He hoped that the launching would bring positive progress in Information Technology (IT) in Indonesia.
The seminar was then continued by Mr. Manohar Silam as a Google Cloud instructor. He presented modules on Introduction of Google Cloud Platform. In the future, Google Cloud will have a fully automated service. He said that the Google cloud platform will enable developers to build, test and deploy applications on Google’s highly secure, reliable and scalable infrastructure. The Google network has around 100,000 of km of fiber and eight subsea cables to support its access.
After lunch break, the event was resumed with Mr. Manohar’s presentation on scaling data analysis module discussing fast random access, warehouse and interactively querying Petabytes and Interactive, iterative development and demos.Mr. Manohar Silam closed his presentation with Machine Learning module and presenting Big Data and Cloud collaboration for Machine Learning.
