Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center attended Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), which was organized by GE Indonesia on November 27, 2019, at Sheraton Hotel, Gandaria City, Jakarta. The participants mostly were women. The event consisted of speech, panel discussion, and performance.

Mr. Handry Satriago, The CEO of GE Indonesia, introduced the profile of the speakers and their achievements in the STEM industry. All the speakers were women who are playing the leading role in their work field. They shared their inspiring experiences; they also gave some tips and advice on how to deal with gender inequality issues.

Minister of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Bambang Brodjonegoro, in his speech, said that the participation rate of women in the labor force needs to be improved. The contribution of women in STEM is a crucial thing and could bring a significant impact on the sustainability of the country.

There was also a singing performance from Reda Gaudiamo and poetry performance from Maudy Koesnaedi.
