The Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) attended Technoday 2019 on December 3-4, 2019, at Soehanna Hall, the Energy Building, Jakarta. Tehcnoday 2019 is the annual event hosted by Medco Energi. The theme of integrated innovation for energy sustainability was brought for this year’s event. The event consisted of panel discussions and a technology exhibition. The panel discussions focused on technology development in the energy sector, especially in oil and gas, mining, and renewable energy. Meanwhile, the technology exhibition was attended by national and international companies.
The first-day event was divided into two panel sessions. In the morning, the first panel took a theme on “Technology Optimization for Marginal Field Development”. The speakers consisted of representatives from Medco E&P, PT Synergy Engineering, Exact Automation and Schlumberger. The topics in the first panel varied from the general challenges of developing marginal fields to strategy options to overcome the challenges. Meanwhile, the second panel’s theme was “Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in the Oil & Gas Industries”. The panelists were from Vesper Marine, PT. Telkomsel Indonesia, Siemens and PT Digital Energy Asia. This panel aimed to improve the oil and gas businesses by implementing advanced technologies to adapt to industry 4.0.
