On February 1, 2020, at Intercontinental Hotel Bandung, Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) hosted a dinner party to celebrate 50th anniversary of the class of 1970 of Petroleum Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology (TM ITB ‘70) and 100 years of ITB’s establishment.
The Chairperson of PYC, Mrs. Filda Yusgiantoro, greeted the audience and shared the story of her years in ITB. In her speech, Mrs. Filda also addressed the purpose of Dr. Dato Low Tuck Kwong’s donation for the scholarship and construction of a new building. The Rector of ITB, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., on her remarks, said that many students in ITB need more spaces and research centers to continue growing. Therefore, Prof. Reini on behalf of ITB thanked Dato Low and all parties for their donation and supports to ITB. In this event, PYC also gave tokens of appreciation to the founders of Petroleum Engineering of ITB, Ir. J.C. Kanna and Ir. Rochadi Gapar, who was represented by his son.
The Dinner Party continued with kolintang performance by Gita Ganesha and singing performances delivered by TM ITB ’70, lecturers of Petroleum Engineering, and Exsel-1 (Former First Echelons of Minister of Energy and Mineral resource of Republic of Indonesia). The event was concluded with an angklung performance by all of the guests.
