Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Dr. Dato Low Tuck Kwong held a Groundbreaking Ceremony on Sunday, February 2, 2020, in ITB Campus. This ceremony was a follow up of the donation given by Dr. Dato Low Tuck Kwong to ITB in October 2019. The donation of 100 billion rupiahs will be used for an endowment fund for scholarships and construction of the Laboratorium Teknologi XVII “Dato Low Tuck Kwong” building.
The event started with a speech given by the Director of Development of ITB, Dr. Sigit Darmawan. He delivered the progress report of the building construction. The construction will start soon after the issuance of the construction and building permit. The Rector of ITB, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., on her speech, thanked Dato Low for his contribution and support to ITB. Mrs. Filda Yusgiantoro, the Chairperson of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), said that the building will have an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) laboratory facilities to support research needs.
The groundbreaking ceremony was done by Dato Low Tuck Kwong as the donator, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D. as the Rector of ITB, Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi as the former Rector of ITB, and Mrs. Filda Yusgiantoro, Ph.D., as the Chairperson of PYC.
