Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) together with Padjajaran University and the University of Dundee were organizing a joint seminar with themes “Energy Investment in Indonesia in The Era of Low Carbon Economy: Challenges & Opportunities.” The seminar was held in Padjajaran University, Jatinangor on 28 August 2019 and attended by students from various backgrounds and universities. Prof. Purnomo Yusgiantoro from PYC and Prof. Raphael Heffron from the University of Dundee were invited as keynote speakers. In his speech, Prof. Purnomo Yusgiantoro gave a brief overview of Indonesia’s energy sector especially related to the low carbon energy development. Meanwhile, Prof. Raphael Heffron explained the role of energy policy in predicting and driving the future of global energy development.
The seminar was then continued with panel session which attended by Pak Haris as Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) representation, Pak Moektianto Soeryowibowo as the Head Country and Vice President Exploration Indonesia of BP, Pak Yayan Satyakti as the Economist Lecturer and Researcher at Padjajaran University, and Ibu Theresia Betty Sumarno as both Padjajaran University Alumni and PhD candidate at University of Dundee. The panel session was moderated by Ibu Nanny Dewi Tanzil as the Head of Undergraduate Program in Accountancy, Padjajaran University.
