Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) attended a discussion titled Energy Resilience and Security in Southeast Asia hosted by ERIA. The event took place in ERIA’s office on February 25, 2020. The main discussion’s speaker was Ambassador Virginia E. Palmer (Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Energy Resources, United States) and Prof. Jun Arima (Senior Policy Fellow for Energy and Environment, ERIA).

The event continued with a panel discussion moderated by Joko Purwanto, ERIA’s energy economist. The discussion invited Jelita Irmawati (Pertamina Energy Institute), Adrian Lembong (PT Adaro Power), and David Hutagalong (GE Power Indonesia) as the panelists. The discussion addressed several points on electric mobility, externalities of energy, energy affordability, and strategy to have a resilient energy system of ASEAN countries.
