On the night before PYC International Energy Conference (IEC) 2017 was held, PYC hosted a pre-event dinner attended by IEC’s speakers, reviewers, paper presenters and supporters on 29th of November 2017. Mrs. Filda addressed a welcoming speech as the Chairperson of Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) and followed by a video profile about PYC. The invitees were entertained by some popular Indonesian songs, which were played by a traditional Indonesian musical instrument from Sulawesi, named Kolintang. The Kolintang instrument was played by a group of five Kolintang players under the coordination of Mr. Mauritz. Another performer came from Mrs. Luluk Sumiarso’s Dance Studio, as its dancers delivered their own-choreography dance of a known Betawi dance called the “Tari Kipas.” Invitees also witnessed the launched of Indonesian Journal of Energy (IJE). This journal is expected to be an authoritative source of information in the field of energy in Indonesia, in which will be published by PYC in 2018. The dinner ended as dancers invite all invitees to come on stage and dance along on songs such as Poco – Poco, Sadjojo, Maumere, and Lissoi.
