Singapore, 6 November 2023 – The second week of the Leadership Consolidation Course (KPPD) Batch I at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

The activities in the second week of the Strengthening Indonesian Regional Leaders Programme (KPPD) Batch I continued with various visits to several locations, including the Open Government Product, Marina Barrage: Sustainable Singapore Gallery, Experiencing the Singapore River Story: Singapore River Cruise, and Singapore City Gallery. These visits aim to provide participants with profound insights into various aspects of leadership, governance, and sustainable development. The overall goal of these visits is to inspire and impart practical knowledge to KPPD participants in effectively managing their local governments with better effectiveness, innovation, and sustainability.

In addition to the visits and informational sessions, several significant events were conducted, such as the Fireside Chat with Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong. This event provided a rare opportunity for participants to listen to the thoughts and experiences of ESM Goh Chok Tong, a prominent figure with significant contributions to Singapore’s history. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, ESM Goh Chok Tong shared his perspectives on leadership, challenges, and the changes faced by Singapore.

Following that, the Closing Dialogue with Minister Chan Chun Sing on Public Service Leadership took place. During this occasion, Minister Chan Chun Sing provided insights that can be applied to prepare for the future, particularly concerning education in Singapore. Likewise, his commitment to excellence in public service inspired a dedication to improving the welfare and progress of society.

The closure for the Strengthening Indonesian Regional Leaders Programme (KPPD) was a Private Dinner hosted by the Low Tuck Kwong Foundation. The event was attended by the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, General Police (Ret.) Prof. Drs. H. Muhammad Tito Karnavian, M.A., Ph.D., Founder PYC, Purnomo Yusgiantoro and Mrs. Lis Purnomo Yusgiantoro. Also present were the Chairperson of PYC, Filda Citra Yusgiantoro, the Vice Governor of Lemhannas RI, Rear Admiral TNI Maman Firmansyah, and several other distinguished guests from Lemhannas RI, LTKF, and LKYSPP.
