On 28 January 2024, the PYC Research Team visited the Aruk International Border Crossing Post in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. During the visit, the Sub-Director of Border Area Development had a discussion with the Research Team regarding the electricity conditions, such as the reliability and infrastructure supporting the operations of the International Border Crossing Post (PLBN) and its surrounding supporting zones. The local communities’ social and cultural conditions and the potential for Renewable Energy Sources (EBT) in the Border Area were also discussed in this meeting.
