Filda Citra Yusgiantoro, Chairperson of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), participated in the Indonesia Social Investment Forum (ISIF) 2024, organized by Social Investment Indonesia (SII) last December in Bandung. This prominent forum brought together stakeholders from diverse sectors—policymakers, business leaders, academics, activists, and field practitioners—to discuss pressing issues surrounding social investment in Indonesia.
In Breakout Room 3, Filda delivered a presentation on Social Innovation in the Field of Clean Energy. She emphasized that social innovation is a dynamic and collaborative process aimed at designing impactful solutions to address real-world challenges in the renewable energy sector. Beyond technological advancements, it involves inclusive and participatory approaches that empower communities and drive meaningful change.
Filda introduced three core pillars in the development of clean energy: decarbonization, decentralization, and digitalization. She explained how these interconnected concepts are essential for building a more inclusive, efficient, and sustainable energy transition in Indonesia.
The session also featured insights from other key figures in the energy sector, including Harris, Head of the Testing and Survey Center for New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources; Suripno, Vice President of Sustainability Strategy at PT Pertamina (Persero); and Imam Muttaqien, Vice President of ESG & Safeguard at PT PLN (Persero). Their contributions added valuable practical and policy perspectives to the discussion.
ISIF 2024 served as a vital platform for fostering cross-sector collaboration and dialogue to accelerate Indonesia’s clean energy transformation. Through open exchange and knowledge-sharing, the forum highlighted the critical role of social innovation in achieving a greener and more sustainable future.
