The Indonesian Embassy in Sofia in cooperation with International Power Supply (IPS), a Bulgarian energy company, and The Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center organized the Sustainable Innovation Forum at the Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta (22/3). The Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Ignasius Jonan, opened the event which aimed to discuss renewable energy opportunities in Indonesia and sustainable off-grid electricity systems. The event was attended by various relevant stakeholders such as the government, entrepreneurs, academics.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan reiterated that the government's duty is to ensure equitable energy for the entire community. Private power plant developers have the task of processing natural resources into energy, while the main task of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is to ensure that the energy is equitable.
