National Energy Seminar 2019 was held by Graduate School of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) on 9 July 2019 in Semarang. This event was attended by lecturers and students of UNDIP and other universities, the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), NGOs, private industries, government representatives, and the public. The seminar was opened by UNDIP Rector, represented by the Vice Rector, and followed by the welcoming speech from the Dean of Graduate School of UNDIP. Afterward, Prof. Purnomo Yusgiantoro, founder of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), delivered the keynote speech “Energy Resilience to Support National Security”. Prof. Purnomo discussed the topics of geopolitics, geostrategy, and the elements of energy resilience: availability, accessibility, affordability, and acceptability. Then, the seminar was followed by presentations about National Energy Policy (KEN) by Secretary General of National Energy Council (DEN), Dr. Ir. Saleh Abdurrahman, M.Sc.; Regional Energy Policy (RUED) of Central Java by Energy and Mineral Resources Department (Dinas ESDM), Dr. Ir. Sujarwanto Dwiatmoko, M.Si.; Geological Disaster Potential of Central Java by volcanology expert, Dr. Surono; Renewable Energy Development Challenges in Regions by Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), Fabby Tumiwa; and the Roles of University in Supporting RUED Development by UNDIP, represented by Dr. Ir. Jaka Windarta, M.T. At the end, the seminar was ended by discussion and lunch.
