The year 2023 was marked by several significant events in the energy sector in Indonesia. Various technological innovations and several international agreements have been launched and signed. Some of the examples are Indonesia’s Chairmanship of the ASEAN Summit and the launch of the Secretariat of the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).
The PYC research team has summarized major events in the energy sector in Indonesia that had occurred in 2023. The Kaleidoscope of Indonesia’s Energy 2023 provides valuable insights into the dynamics of several energy sector issues in Indonesia. The events discussed are about policy and regulatory updates, energy transition efforts, and international issues affecting Indonesia’s energy sector.
Therefore, it is crucial for us to continue monitoring every taken step and policies set by the government to help Indonesia achieve its target of a 23% renewable energy mix by 2025 and net-zero emissions by 2060.
We hope that the information presented in the Kaleidoscope of Indonesia’s Energy 2023 will provide valuable insights, assisting us in collectively designing a sustainable and highly competitive future for our nation.
