Energy Infrastructure Securitization in Indonesia
Some time ago on September 14, 2019, there was an attack by 10 drones on energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. The attack carried out by the Yemeni-Iranian Houthi group in Abqaiq and Khurais damaged the oil fields and refineries of the state-owned oil and gas company Saudi Aramco. As a result of this attack, the Saudi kingdom cut its oil production by half, around 5.7 million barrels of crude oil per day or around 5% of the world’s oil supply.
