On October 12, 2018, Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) delegate attended a High-Level Policy Dialogue with the topic of The Future of Finance held in Jimbaran, Bali. It was held by the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan, OJK) to support the IMF-World Bank annual meeting in Bali. The event was attended by authority leaders, head of the financial services industry, and academics/researchers.
The speakers of the event were Wimboh Santoso (Chairman of OJK), Joseph Stiglitz (Professor, Columbia University), Hum Wan Steens (Senior Advisor, Bank of England), and Sean Kidney (CEO of Climate bonds Initiatives. This dialogue covered the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement for the past three years and the challenges ahead until 2030 in developing and developed countries. The forum also discussed the influence of disruption in the progress of digital technology going forward against the economy and the financial sector.
