On Thursday, 7 August 2025, Prof. Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Founder of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) and Special Advisor to the President on Energy Affairs, delivered an intellectual briefing to Officer Students of the Regular Education Program (Dikreg) LIV at the Indonesian National Armed Forces Command and Staff College (Sesko TNI) for the 2025 Academic Year.
During the session, Prof. Yusgiantoro presented an in-depth overview of global and national dynamics affecting state stability and security, while also elaborating on the fundamental principles of national defense and defense policy strategies in addressing evolving geopolitical challenges. The lecture highlighted the interconnection between global developments, national interests, and the strategic role of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.
The briefing served as an important platform to strengthen the strategic understanding of the officer students, particularly in analyzing the strategic environment and formulating adaptive defense responses. Through this session, the officers are expected to gain broader perspectives to support leadership development, informed decision-making, and the formulation of national defense policies in the future.
