Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) organized Focus Group Discussions (FGD) followed by Heads of Energy and Mineral Resources Services (ESDM) from several provinces in the country. The FGD theme “Regional Strategic Role in Implementing Energy Reform in Indonesia in order to Increase Economic Resilience” was officially opened by the Founder of PYC, Purnomo Yusgiantoro, at Sutasoma Dharmawangsa Hotel, South Jakarta, Thursday (25/1/2024).
At the event, there were several speakers including Restuardy Daud, the Director General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs; Djoko Siswanto, the Secretary-General of the National Energy Council (DEN); Andang Bachtiar, the Secretary-General of the Regional Association of Migas Producers and Renewable Energy (ADP-MET); and Iwan Adhisaputra, the Brokerage Investment Lead at Mentari.
The participants of this FGD consisted of the Chief of ESDM Provincial Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, Riau, Jambi, South Sumatra, West Kalimantan, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Central Kalimantan, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, and South East Sulawesi.
Filda Citra Yusgiantoro, the Chairperson of PYC, expressed her appreciation for the strategic role played by regional governments in developing the potential of each region. According to Filda, Bali has set an example by implementing regulations for the construction of solar power plants (PLTS) on building rooftops. She expressed gratitude for this initiative, despite the challenges faced, and emphasized the need for accelerating potential energy sources in every region. Filda also highlighted the importance of providing workshops for the maintenance of existing PLTS equipment.
