Jakarta, 10 December 2025 — Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) reaffirmed its humanitarian commitment by providing relief assistance to communities affected by natural disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. This initiative reflects PYC’s concern for disaster-affected communities currently facing challenging conditions in the aftermath of recent emergencies.
On Wednesday, 10 December 2025, the humanitarian aid was dispatched from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta through close coordination with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). This coordinated effort was carried out to ensure that the donations would be delivered promptly and reach those who are most in need across the three affected provinces.
The relief items included essential necessities such as clothing and underwear for men and women, food supplies, blankets, socks, disposable diapers, and other basic needs. These donations are intended to help alleviate the burden on disaster survivors, particularly vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and pregnant women, who require special attention and care during emergency situations.
The symbolic handover of the aid took place at Base Ops Suma 1, Halim Perdanakusuma. PYC Trustee and Secretary, Ms. Lis Purnomo Yusgiantoro and Ms. Amelia Yusgiantoro, were present to officially hand over the assistance to representatives of BNPB. The aid was received by Lt. Col. (Av.) Hakim and Dr. Raditya Jati, M.Sc., Deputy for Systems and Strategy at BNPB, prior to its distribution to the affected regions.
On this occasion, Ms. Lis Purnomo Yusgiantoro expressed that the assistance was provided as a gesture of empathy and solidarity with communities experiencing hardship due to the disasters. While acknowledging that the aid may not reach all affected individuals, she emphasized PYC’s hope that this contribution would help ease the burden and offer moral support to those in need.
PYC also conveyed its appreciation to BNPB and all parties involved in the logistics and distribution process for their dedication in ensuring that the humanitarian donations were delivered efficiently and effectively.
Through this initiative, PYC underscores its ongoing commitment to humanitarian action and disaster response efforts in Indonesia. PYC hopes that continued collaboration between civil society organizations, government institutions, and other stakeholders will strengthen social resilience and national solidarity in addressing future challenges.
