The Chairperson of PYC, Filda C. Yusgiantoro, participated as a Moderator in The 49th IPA Convention & Exhibition during the Concurrent Session “Enhancing Project Delivery in Oil and Gas: Key Drivers of Maturation and Acceleration.”
The session explored various challenges the oil and gas industry have been facing in recent years, including regulatory hurdles, infrastructure limitations, technological constraints, and skill gaps, all of which pose risks to achieving production targets and ensuring energy security. SKK Migas emphasized the importance of data in identifying the root causes of project delays, while Petronas and ExxonMobil shared innovations they have implemented to accelerate project execution. Cross-sector collaboration, including government, regulators, and contractors, were highlighted as crucial to ensuring smooth project delivery and boosting oil and gas production.
The session featured speakers from various institutions, including Mr. Taufan Marhaendrajana (Deputy of Exploitation, SKK Migas), Mr. Muhammad Shaufi Dahlan (Senior General Manager, Wells Development Division Upstream, PETRONAS), Mr. Muhammad Nurdin (Senior Vice President, ExxonMobil Cepu Limited), and Mr. Gary Archer (Director, Performance and Sustainability, SLB OneSubsea).
