The Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) accepted the invitation of a friendly football match against Pelita Harapan University (UPH) football team at UPH Karawaci Stadium in Tangerang on June 2, 2018. The match started at 4 pm with opening remarks from Prof. Purnomo Yusgiantoro, as the founder of PYC. He also participated in as one of the PYC football players at the beginning of the match. The rector of UPH, Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc. also showed his enthusiasm with the match as he watched the match from the tribune.
This match took place with two halves, 30 minutes each. It was a fun and exciting match with both sides took turns by attacking one and another. Strikers of PYC football team tried several shots but it seems that the UPH football team had a very strong defense. In the end, the UPH football team won the game. To end the day, both teams had an Iftar and gift exchange as a symbol of friendship. There might be plans to have another friendly re-match after Ramadan.
