The Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) program is one of the most well-known scholarship programs in Indonesia organized by the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia. It is designed to boost the investment of Indonesian Human Resources through a full scholarship for Indonesia’s young generation in continuing their education on the postgraduate program. Up to early 2019, there are more than 20,000 LPDP awardees from various backgrounds spread out around the world.
Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) was delighted to be a part of the 2019 Welcoming Event for Alumni of LPDP in the Gala Dinner and Career Fair. The Gala Dinner was held on 15 March 2019, at Dhanapala Building, while the Career Fair was held on the next morning at Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta. There were other companies and NGOs participated in the event such as Tokopedia, Grab, WWF, Bank Indonesia, Bank Mandiri and others. Aside from the career fair, there was also a seminar inviting representations from three different business types; NGO, government and corporate. The focus of this seminar was to give insights for LPDP alumni regarding what is expected from generation of young employees, the differences among those three business types and how they can collaborate.
In the career fair, PYC opened information booth for LPDP alumni who wanted to join the PYC team as a research assistant as well as other positions. In addition to the recruitment information, PYC also promoted the current and upcoming events such as a call for paper and PYC International Energy Conference (IEC) 2019. Participants came to PYC’s booth for more elaborate explanations on the Center and opportunities to collaborate with PYC. PYC is always open for opportunities to collaborate on energy studies with various institutions, both national and international.
