RECLICKS CALL FOR PROPOSAL: Innovative Climate Finance Pathways to Accelerate an Inclusive Energy Transition in Indonesia
RECLICKS by Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), in partnership with the “Flood Impacts, Carbon Pricing, and Ecosystem Sustainability (FINCAPES)” project, is pleased to announce a Call for Proposal under the theme “Innovative Climate Finance Pathways to Accelerate an Inclusive Energy Transition in Indonesia.” This call invites high-quality, policy-relevant research proposals that explore innovative climate finance solutions to support Indonesia’s inclusive and sustainable energy transition.
Topics and Subtopics
Proposals should address one or more of the following thematic areas:
- Community-Based Climate Financing to Strengthen Energy Security and Inclusive Low-Carbon Development
- Innovative community financing models for clean energy
- Financial mechanisms for decentralized renewable energy projects
- Linking community energy finance with national and global mechanisms
- Innovative Financing Pathways for Local Governments and Private Sector Access to Finance for Renewable Energy
- Innovative financing pathways for local governments
- Enhancing financial capacities for energy security in remote areas
- Policy reforms enabling regional governments’ access to climate funds
- Mobilizing Climate Finance for Industrial Decarbonization to Enhance Global Competitiveness

Eligibility Criteria
This Call for Proposals welcomes applications from individuals and collaborative research teams with strong expertise and a demonstrated commitment to advancing research on climate finance, renewable energy, and low-carbon development.
Proposals must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Each proposal must be submitted by a team of at least three (3) members
- All team members must be affiliated with an institution or organization that is legally registered and capable of receiving and managing research funds
- The team leader must hold:
- minimum Master’s degree, or
- a Bachelor’s degree with at least three (3) years of relevant professional experience
- Research promoting gender equality, social inclusion, and local empowerment will receive special consideration
- Collaborative and multidisciplinary research, including partnerships across sectors or regions, is highly encouraged
Funding Schemes and Duration
For the 2026/2027 batch, RECLICKS will provide:
Funding Amount: up to CAD 15,000 per proposal
Project Duration: up to 10 months
Total Proposals Funded: up to 10 projects

How to Submit Your Proposal
Applicants are required to:
- Prepare a collaborative study proposal following the Proposal Template
- Develop a budget in accordance with the Financial Management SOP and Budget Template
- Combine the proposal and budget into one single PDF file
- Complete the registration e-form and upload the combined PDF file
Application Process
- Proposals must be submitted in English in PDF format
- All required sections must be included: Executive Summary, Research Design and Methodology, Work Plan, Budget, and CV & Team Composition
- Submission deadline: 5 February 2026 (23:59 GMT+7)
- Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered
