The Regional Leadership Consolidation Course (KPPD) Batch II in Singapore was held from 10 to 15 November 2025, featuring an intensive learning program designed to strengthen the strategic leadership capacity of participating regional heads.
The program started with the official opening at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), attended by high level management of LKYSPP, the Vice Governor of the National Resilience Institute of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI), the Secretary of the Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as senior academics and practitioners from Singapore. Through a series of expert-led sessions, participants gained insights into governance, leadership, public accountability, education, environmental sustainability, and waste management, enriched by interactive discussions with experienced public sector leaders.
In the following days, participants deepened their understanding of healthcare systems, public housing, urban transformation, and sustainable development, and took part in structured learning reflection sessions facilitated by LKYSPP faculty members. The program was further complemented by field visits to key strategic facilities, including waste-to-energy power plants, the Punggol new town development, the Singapore City Gallery, the Municipal Services Office, as well as vocational education institutions and technology innovation centers.
The KPPD program in Singapore was concluded with a strategic dialogue between participants and Singapore’s Minister for Defence, Mr. Chan Chun Sing, on public–private partnerships and digital transformation, and site visits to Gardens by the Bay and Marina Barrage as tangible examples of integrated sustainable development and urban planning. The program was officially concluded with a farewell dinner, marking the completion of the entire KPPD Batch II series in Singapore.
Overall, the KPPD program reflects the strong collaborative commitment between the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Lemhannas RI, and the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) in equipping regional leaders with global perspectives, international best practices, and strategic insights to address national and regional development challenges in a sustainable manner.
