On June 16, 2019, the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center commemorated its third anniversary by launching a book authored by PYC founder’s, Prof. Purnomo Yusgiantoro, and PYC Data Center. The book is titled “JAS MERAH: Menguak Masa Transisi ESDM 2000-2009”. The book launching was a soft launching where Prof. Purnomo gave the book to his colleagues to review the book before it is launched to the public.
Prof. Purnomo wrote the book to share his experience as the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources for nine years (2000-2009). The book provides information on regulation changes, energy sector dynamics, and explanation of some decisions made by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources during Prof. Purnomo era. Prof. Purnomo also put some recommendations for the future of the energy sector in Indonesia in the last section of the book.
During the anniversary event, Prof. Purnomo gave books to ten of his colleagues to review the content of the book, namely Prof. Dr. Djoko Santoso, Jenderal Polisi (Purn.) Drs. Roesmanhadi, Dr. Rachmat Sudibjo, Ir. Simon F. Sembiring, Ph.D., Ir. Luluk Sumiarso, M.Sc., Dr. Abdul Muin, Ir. Jarman Sudimo, M.Sc., Kolonel Laut Dr. Ir. Yanif Dwi Kuntjoro, M.Si., Bambang Dwiyanto, M.Sc., and Mohamad Bawazier. After the reviewing process, PYC will publish the book to be available for the public to purchase. The book is suitable for people interested in learning the dynamics of the energy sector during the transition era between 2000 – 2009.
