THE REGIONAL LEADERSHIP STRENGTHENING COURSE (KPPD) Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

Singapore, 30 October 2023 – Strengthening Indonesian Regional Leaders Course (KPPD) Batch I has started at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP).

The course began with an opening ceremony attended by the Founder and Head of Governing Board of PYC, Purnomo Yusgiantoro, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Singapore, Suryo Pratomo.

This event began with opening remarks from the Chairperson of PYC, Filda Citra Yusgiantoro, followed by Alexander Ery Wibowo as the representative of the Low Tuck Kwong Foundation. The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Singapore, Suryopratomo, also gave his speech to conclude the opening ceremony.

This course aims to improve the quality of human resources (HR) by implementing development programs and strengthening the leadership and public policy capabilities of regional government officials in Indonesia, especially regents and mayors.

This course will run for 11 days and then continue at Lemhannas RI until 17th November 2023. This course attended by level II regional leaders, consisting of 8 regents and 7 mayors from various regions in Indonesia, and a chairman of level II parliament. Apart from attending class sessions, participants will participate in various activities held in several places supporting this program.
