Jakarta – Bishop Ignatius Cardinal Suharyo led the blessing mass of Stations of the Cross Diorama at St. Stefanus Catholic Church in Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Sunday (03/03/2024). The inauguration began with a blessing mass and continued with the signing of the inscription by Bishop Ignatius Cardinal Suharyo as the bishop of the Archdiocese of Jakarta and Purnomo Yusgiantoro as Founder of Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center and witnessed by Father Agustinus Kelik Pribadi, SCJ, Parish Priest of St. Stefanus Cilandak.
Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center has shown support for the construction of Stations of the Cross Diorama with developing the prayer facilities and gardens at the St. Stefanus Cilandak Church.
The support stems from the personal connection of the Yusgiantoro family with St. Stefanus Cilandak Church, which was the family’s first church when they moved to Jakarta. This was revealed by Purnomo Yusgiantoro during his speech at the inauguration of the diorama.
“Stefanus Church holds special memories for our family. Forty-four years ago, when we were assigned to Jakarta, we became part of the St. Stephen’s Church community.” Purnomo said.
After the blessing mass of the Stations of the Cross Diorama, Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center continued its charitable efforts by handover donations to several foundations: Bhakti Luhur Foundation, Sinar Pelangi Foundation, Atmabrata Foundation, and the Convent House of the Congress of Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (SCJ), Superioirat SCJ Jakarta Region.
The donation was handed over in the 4th floor hall of Leon Dehon Building, St. Stefanus Parish Cilandak by Lis Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Luky Yusgiantoro, Inka Yusgiantoro, and Filda Citra Yusgiantoro.
