Chairperson of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), Mrs. Filda C. Yusgiantoro, participated as a speaker in the Panel Discussion of P4N LXVIII Lemhannas RI TA 2025. The event took place on 7 May 2025, where she served as a panelist in the first session, carrying the theme “Achieving Sustainable Energy Self-Sufficiency.”
In her presentation, Mrs. Filda elaborated on the urgency of attaining national energy independence within the broader framework of sustainable development. The discussion focused on the comparison between reliance on fossil fuels and the significant potential of new and renewable energy (NRE) in Indonesia.
One of the key points was the concept of energy self-sufficiency as a strategic goal to support Indonesia’s projected 8% economic growth by 2029, as outlined in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025–2029. To realize this goal, several measures must be taken, including increasing energy supply, expanding energy access across all regions, and maximizing the use of clean and environmentally friendly energy sources.
Mrs. Filda also stressed the importance of strong collaboration among the government, industry, academia, and the public to build an energy system that is not only independent and sustainable, but also equitable for all.
