Chairperson of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), Filda C. Yusgiantoro, was one of the Indonesian delegates at The Second BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum, hosted by the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance in Moscow, Russia. This prestigious international forum brought together women leaders from BRICS countries and partner nations to explore strategies and opportunities for strengthening women’s roles in sustainable development in a multipolar world.
Filda was featured as a panel speaker in a session titled “BRICS and African Continent: Investing in Sustainable Development in a Multipolar World.” In her presentation, she underscored the importance of strong collaboration between BRICS countries and the African continent to promote inclusive and equitable sustainable development. Drawing from Southeast Asia’s energy transition experiences, Filda highlighted how gender-responsive and regionally coordinated approaches could serve as a valuable reference for Africa in accelerating its clean energy ambitions. She further emphasized the need for strategic partnerships that goes beyond transactional relationships. According to Filda, BRICS and African nations must leverage their collective strengths—including technical expertise, innovation, and financial instruments—to develop transformational solutions. She argued that such cross-regional cooperation should be grounded in a shared vision that empowers communities, particularly women, and fosters meaningful change toward a greener, cleaner, and more equitable future.
