Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) held a social event at Yayasan Sinar Pelangi, Jatibening, Bekasi. This event was held in conjunction with the birthday of Mrs. Lis Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Head of Board of Trustees of PYC, as well as the anniversary of the Paguyuban Istri Pensiunan Warakawuri Kementerian ESDM (PIPW KESDM). This is an annual event by PYC and for this year, the chosen location was Yayasan Sinar Pelangi, which houses both Panti Werdha Misericordia and Panti Asuhan Pius X.
The children from the orphanage entertained us with dance performances and group singing. Not only the children showed their talents, but also the elderly residents. Oma Agatha sang a song in Mandarin, followed by Oma Lambert, who is still fluent in Dutch, performing a Dutch version of the song Nasi Goreng. The event concluded with everyone singing Bengawan Solo together.After the ceremonial cutting of the tumpeng and birthday cake, the event wrapped up with PYC handing over donations that included basic necessities and financial support, to Yayasan Sinar Pelangi, represented by Sister Atanasia. The elderly and children were delighted to participate in the event and to receive souvenirs from PYC.
