
On Tuesday, 20 January 2026, Universitas Indonesia held a ceremonial event for the Awarding of the Dato’ Dr. Low Tuck Kwong (DLTK) Endowment Scholarship–Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The event took place at the Auditorium of the Balai Sidang, Universitas Indonesia (UI) Depok Campus, and was attended by the university high management board, the PYC board and team, as well as recipients of the scholarship.
The Rector of the Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, in his remarks, expressed his appreciation for the contributions of PYC and Dato’ Dr. Low Tuck Kwong in supporting the development of human resources through a sustainable scholarship program. The Rector also emphasized the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and strategic partners in creating inclusive and high-quality access to education for Indonesia’s younger generation.
The event continued with remarks from the Secretary General of PYC, Amelia Yusgiantoro, who conveyed PYC’s commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education as well as fostering student leadership and character development. “The DLTK–PYC Endowment Scholarship Program is expected not only to provide financial support, but also to serve as a means of shaping academic individuals who possess integrity, competitiveness, and a strong commitment to contributing to national development,” Amelia stated.
The program then proceeded with the sharing of impressions and messages from representatives of the scholarship recipients, who expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the provided opportunity. The recipients noted that this support will serve as motivation to continue excelling both academically and non-academically, as well as to actively participate in student activities and community service.
As the highlight of the event, a symbolic presentation of the scholarship was conducted by the Chairperson of PYC, Filda C. Yusgiantoro, Ph.D., together with the Rector of the Universitas Indonesia, to representatives of the DLTK–PYC Endowment Scholarship recipients. This procession symbolized a shared commitment to support the sustainability of higher education and the development of the nation’s future generation.
Through the implementation of this event, PYC hopes that cooperation with Universitas Indonesia and strategic partners will continue to strengthen in order to create a sustainable educational ecosystem and deliver tangible positive impacts for students and the wider community.
