JAKARTA, 18 June 2026 — The Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) celebrated its 10th anniversary through “Light of Legacy” at Djakarta Theater, Jakarta, on Thursday, 18 June 2026. The celebration marked an important milestone in PYC’s decade-long journey of advancing strategic research, promoting social initiatives, and preserving culture as part of its contribution to Indonesia.
PYC Chairperson, Filda C. Yusgiantoro, stated that this year’s theme serves as a reminder of the importance of sustaining contributions to the nation. According to her, a legacy is not only reflected in achievements that have been attained, but also in the values that continue to be passed on to future generations.
“The theme ‘Light of Legacy’ reminds us that every step we take will become a legacy for the future. Over the past ten years, PYC has sought to contribute through research, social responsibility, and cultural preservation. The foundation we have built serves as a light that will continue to illuminate our journey in the decades ahead,” said Filda C. Yusgiantoro.
In the field of research and strategic studies, PYC has consistently contributed to the development of ideas and policy recommendations in the areas of energy, natural resources, and national security. Through various research projects, public discussions, and collaborations with stakeholders, PYC has worked to address evolving challenges at both the national and global levels.
In addition, PYC actively develops social and cultural programs based on the belief that national progress must go hand in hand with concern for society and respect for cultural identity. Through these initiatives, PYC strives to maintain a balance between development and humanitarian values.
The decade-anniversary celebration was attended by members of the Board of Trustees, Supervisory Board, Executive Board, partners, colleagues, and other distinguished guests. The presence of guests from various sectors reflected support for PYC’s role as an institution that consistently contributes through strategic research, social initiatives, and cultural preservation.
A performance of Pancaran Dharma brightened up the 10th anniversary celebration, with a dance drama that highlighted the values of service, leadership, and exemplary conduct.
On the same occasion, PYC launched five books:
- Menyinari Negeri dengan Ilmu dan Bakti: Satu Dasawarsa Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center, by the PYC Writing Team;
- Energi Baru Terbarukan Indonesia, by Filda Citra Yusgiantoro;
- Kepemimpinan Strategis, by Prof. Purnomo Yusgiantoro;
- Harmoni: Kepemimpinan dalam Transformasi Sektor Energi, by Ir. Luky A. Yusgiantoro; and
- Purnomo Yusgiantoro: Tujuh Presiden Satu Pengabdian, by Luky A. Yusgiantoro, Inka B. Yusgiantoro, and Filda C. Yusgiantoro.
As it enters its second decade, PYC remains committed to strengthening its role as an independent think tank that produces strategic studies, fosters cross-sector collaboration, and delivers tangible benefits to society. In line with the theme “Light of Legacy,” PYC hopes that the legacy of ideas, service, and collaboration built over the last ten years will continue to serve as a guiding light toward a better future for Indonesia.
