Jakarta, 30 April 2026 – The Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) successfully hosted the “Awarding Session & Proposal Presentation: RECLICKS by PYC Call for Proposals 2026” on Thursday, 30 April 2026, at the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center Office in South Jakarta. This event officially marks the commencement of the implementation phase for the 10 selected research teams dedicated to strengthening climate finance policy and energy transition in Indonesia.
RECLICKS (Research on Climate and Energy Transition) is a collaborative initiative supported by the FINCAPES Project (Flood Impacts, Carbon Pricing, and Ecosystem Sustainability) and international partners from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
The event commenced with an opening remark by Bill Duggan, Project Director of the FINCAPES Project. During the main session, Inka B. Yusgiantoro, Ph.D. (Program Advisor of RECLICKS by PYC), accompanied by Paolo Vaggi (Field Director of the FINCAPES Project), presented awards to the ten selected teams who successfully navigated a rigorous selection process.
Following the awarding ceremony, the ten teams presented their research frameworks and methodologies in a dynamic Proposal Presentation & Feedback session. The teams presented sequentially to a distinguished panel of expert judges who provided strategic insights to ensure the research yields significant contributions to public policy. The panel of judges included:
- Inka B. Yusgiantoro, Ph.D. – Program Advisor, RECLICKS by PYC.
- Muhammad Ery Wijaya – Chief Executive Officer, Lestari Advisors.
- Alin Halimatussadiah – Head of Environmental Economics Research Group at LPEM FEB UI.
- Arnita Rishanty – Senior Economist, Bank Indonesia (attending virtually via Zoom).
“The quality of the proposals this year is exceptional. The feedback provided by the judges is expected to sharpen the research outcomes, enabling them to serve as concrete references in strengthening an inclusive climate finance ecosystem in Indonesia,” stated Inka B. Yusgiantoro.
The event was officially concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Ir. Purnomo Yusgiantoro, M.Sc., M.A., Ph.D., IPU., Founder and Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center. He emphasized that synergy between young researchers and policy experts is crucial in navigating current global energy challenges.
With the completion of the presentation stage, the ten selected teams will proceed to the program implementation and field research phase. The findings of these studies are expected to support the government’s target of achieving Net Zero Emissions for Indonesia.
